Alliance Security reputation

Reputation - 3 / 10

In 2014, the Federal Trade Commission, with the assistance of the U.S. Department of Justice, settled a complaint against Alliance Security that illegally called millions of consumers on the FTC’s National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry to pitch home security systems.

According to the FTC, the company’s marketing agency used robocalls from “Tom with Home Protection,” fake survey calls, and calls to phone numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry to illegally obtain contact information. They made calls to consumers without checking to see if they had registered their telephone numbers on the DNC Registry.

The company seems understaffed. Many customers report that Alliance has lackluster customer service and will sometimes fail to return calls for months at a time. If you are fortunate enough to get someone on the phone, they are generally helpful and pleasant.
